The land

Cultivated by the Villén family since 1818, it features limestone soil and rough terrain throughout its 300 hectares and more than 24,000 olive trees.

Olive groves

One of our greatest treasures. These centennial sustainable olive groves are made up of 80% of the Hojiblanca olive variety and 20% of other varieties such as Picual and Picuda. Undoubtedly an exceptional base on which to produce an Extra Virgin Olive Oil of supreme quality.

Technique

We use the no-till technique to grow our olives, with the aim of respecting the environment and taking full advantage of the moisture and organic matter in our sustainable soil, due to the action of the vegetation covering it. This cover serves as a store for food and water for our olive trees.

We also use shredded pruning material and other usable crop remains from the oil mill to help enrich the vegetation cover where there is none.

Harvesting

As a means of obtaining the highest quality of oil, we harvest our olives early, at the beginning of October.

Once harvested, the olives are transported to our mill in under four hours in order to take full advantage of the freshness of the recently picked fruit.
